Meet Our Conifer Mountain Community Ambassador!

Hello, neighbor!

Welcome to Conifer Mountain! I'm your neighbor (I live on Kings Valley East) and volunteer Elk Creek Fire Protection District Community Ambassador.  My role is to help raise awareness of wildfire risks and forest health issues, connecting Conifer Mountain residents with trusted information and resources, and support community wildfire mitigation projects.

Our neighborhood—the Conifer Mountain Planning Unit—spans 3533 acres and includes approximately 470 households. As part of my role, I send email updates (your email stays confidential) with practical, timely information, including:

  • Tips to protect your family, home, and pets from wildfire

  • Insights into our Fire Protection Districts and the emergency services they provide

  • Information on home assessments, mitigation grant opportunities, annual chipping program, slash drop-off updates, and other helpful resources

  • Ways to help make our forest healthier and more resilient

  • Details about our Firewise USA program, which brings added safety benefits and resources to our neighborhood

  • Opportunities to join in neighborhood projects to protect our mountain community

Wildfire risk here is significant, but so are the beauty, peace, and sense of community that make our mountain home so special. That’s exactly why protecting this incredible place matters so much. Together, we can strengthen our neighborhood’s safety and resilience.  Please contact me with questions or to say hello. I’d love to hear from you!

I have included a quick start guide to help you begin preparing.
